You’re probably putting the finishing touches on your festival outfits for this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, but have you thought about what to eat during the festival? Fret not.
We’ve gathered all of the vegan options at Coachella this year for both weekends so that you can enjoy Lana del Rey, Tyler the Creator, Doja Cat, and everyone else on a full stomach.
Here are all of the options in nearly every corner of Coachella 2024.
Monty’s Good Burger
North and South Terrace
In 2018, Monty’s Good Burgers first launched at Coachella before opening multiple locations across Southern California. This year, the popular celebrity hotspot returns to the festival with its classic burgers, fries, and drinks at three locations throughout Coachella, including the North Terrace.
Also on the north side, you’ll find vegan options at Taste of Brazil and modern convenience store Fatty Mart, which will offer a grab-and-go vegan wrap.
Veggie Fam
If you’re craving hot chicken sandwiches in the South Terrace, visit Veggie Fam to feed the need. The eatery will serve its version with slaw on a fluffy bun alongside Teriyaki Tenders and Loaded Cheesy Fries.
Also in the area, Forever Pie is serving its signature “Meat Haters” pizza, a homemade “Bomb Pop” lemonade, and the festival’s famous oversized Chocolate Chip cookie.
And before you head to other parts of the fest, check out Yogis Teriyaki for its vegan Teriyaki Tempeh Bowl.
Coachella Courtyard
Take a quick trip to the Coachella Courtyard to visit Nash & Proper for must-try vegan tacos. The Mushroom al Pastor Tacos are loaded with pickled pineapple, onions, and cilantro.
Be sure to grab an order of Papas con Soyrizo Crispy potatoes tossed with soyrizo, jalapeño cashew cheese, and pickled slaw.
12 Peaks VIP
Perhaps the most exciting part of the 12 Peaks VIP section is a full restaurant buildout of Monty’s Good Burger.
Monty’s Good Burger
At this location, the vegan chain will officially launch its Treat by Monty’s soft serve that you can get with a variety of toppings, alongside its burgers, fried chicken sandwiches and tenders, and more.
The VIP section also features a unique sauce bar put together by Postmates, where you can load up on fries and tater tots from Irv’s Burgers and dip them in a selection of sauces, including a vegan honey mustard from Monty’s and a vegan barbecue sauce from Bludsoe’s.
Benny Blanco
Here, Postmates will also debut an exclusive sauce collaboration, Ghost Chile Sriracha, with music producer Benny Blanco, featured in a creative “saucetail” called “The Little Cocktail.” This concoction features tequila blanco, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave, Benny Blanco’s Postmates’ collab sauce, and club soda.
You can also sip on a Montylada, a Mexican lager spiked with a homemade michelada mix, Monty’s Good Burger Honey Mustard, and Tajin.
Note that some of the sauces offered by Irv’s and Prime Pizza are not vegan.
This VIP section also features a mushroom plate, tacos, and burritos from Tacos 1986; a second location of Forever Pie if you need a slice of pizza to keep you going; and a selection of vegan options from Bang Bang Noodles, Sweetfin, My Lai, Backyard Bowls, and Oakberry.
Indio Central Market
On the east side of the festival, you will find the covered Indio Central Market, a place to take a break and have a snack.
Cena Vegan
Cena Vegan will bring its Mexican fare to the fest with giant burritos, cauliflower ceviche, and nacho boats loaded with vegan meat, cashew cheese, guac, and pico. Grab a refreshing horchata agua fresca or lemonade to beat the desert heat.
Man Eating Plant
For its third year, Man Eating Plant is returning to Coachella with some goodies, including Garlic Noodles with shallot jam, shiitake mushrooms, gailan, and pickled mustard greens topped with crispy garlic and shallots and a hit of chili crisp; Fried Shroom Bao with beer-battered king oyster mushrooms, cashew hoisin, pickled serrano, chili crisp, cilantro, and scallion tufted inside a Lotus-steamed bun; and Sichuan Steamies or dumplings filled with trumpet, brown, and oyster mushrooms in a spicy Sichuan sauce.
To wash it all down, Man Eating Plant will serve Oolong Arnold Palmers.
Happy Ice
In a last-minute decision, Happy Ice was added to the Coachella line-up after a community-led campaign helped the dessert vendor get on the roster this year. The colorful company specializes in Philly Water Ice, a dessert that combines the smoothness of ice cream and the fruitiness of sorbet with the refreshing qualities of shaved ice. Grab one to celebrate its win this year.
Ramenhood, a mainstay at Coachella, will return to this year’s festival serving its signature ramen bowl that comes topped with a vegan egg. And don’t forget to grab a tofu bánh mì from The Berlin Truck as you head to the Coachella Stage area.
Camping
Camping at Coachella is also a very vegan-friendly experience this year with yet another location of Monty’s, soyrizo tacos and burritos from Rosa’s Street Tacos, and refreshing bowls from Açaí Bar.
Unique to the camping area is the Word of Mouth truck, where you can indulge in an epic chicken sandwich made with fried oyster mushrooms piled high on a soft brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeños, and a habanero aioli for an extra kick.
Monty’s Good Burger
To keep the good times rolling after Coachella, Monty’s is offering Benny Blanco’s limited-edition sauce on top of the chain’s chicken sandwiches—dubbed the “Benny Blanco Sticky Icky Chicky Sandwich”—at all of its Southern California locations.
And if you’re staying in Indio for Stagecoach to keep the party going, you’ll be happy to know that Monty’s will be there, too, serving all of its celebrity-loved vegan burgers, fries, and drinks.
